#FeedMyFuture is a social campaign to bring awareness of the benefits of healthy eating and to encourage the schools of Gibraltar to offer their children something better.
Dan Thomson, owner of Supernatural (World Trade Center), is on a mission to help the children of Gibraltar to not only have better nutrition available to them, but also to increase their education and awareness of healthy eating, and healthy lifestyles.
The aim is to show the Government that it is indeed possible to provide students with healthy, affordable meals.
Gibraltar is modernising its schools with co-education and new schools. Healthy Meals should be on this agenda too.
Schools should be Healthy Food Zones.
"Healthy food for schools has been on the Government's agenda for over 3 years now, we don't want to wait another 3 years until a solution is found. We believe there are viable options available in a matter of weeks, not years." Dan Thomson
"HOT SCHOOL LUNCHES A full process of consultation with parents, headteachers, teachers and their unions will take place so that we can start the provision of hot school meals to all children whose parents agree." GSLP Manifesto 2015
Whilst this is an ongoing issue, there are some solutions, such as the one we’ve set up with Supernatural. You can order school meals from just £4 per day.

On Child Obesity 2018
“Child obesity is, of course, a matter of great concern for our community. I believe that a multiagency approach to tackle such an important issue, is the right one. It is essential that this is addressed in a positive and engaging manner, in order to encourage our children and their parents to make the right lifestyle choices to lead healthier lives.”
Minister Costa is yet to comment on our campaign.
The Journal of Health Economics produced a report that shows health eating habits in schools leads to:
Less absenteeism of up to 15%
Children eating better score better on tests by up to 8%
Children’s health and energy improved overall
Increased life expectancy Increased quality of life
Increased productive capacity on the labour market
GIBRALTAR IS FALLING BEHIND THE REST OF THE UK & SPAIN
WE SHOULD BE INVESTING IN OUR CHILDREN FOR THEIR FUTURE AND THE FUTURE OF GIBRALTAR
We understand that it's sometimes hard to be a parent, especially with full-time jobs and kids that have different tastes and dietary requirements.
What we want is for there to be a viable option to parents so that it takes the stress of having to prepare a meal.
We want schools to be health food zones
We want to teach children about healthy eating and environmental issues and sustainability
We want to cut the sugar and junk intake
We want local restaurants and cafes to get involved with this issue.
And most of all we want support from the parents of Gibraltar to benefit the community
